Since this announcement, organizations are yet to be sure what process to take.

We put together 5 things you should be doing now to kick-start your process.

1. Research the Registration Requirements: Understand the specific registration requirements set forth by the NDPC. This could include gathering information about the necessary documents, fees, and deadlines.

2. Choose a legal structure: Decide on the legal structure of your business, such as sole proprietorship, partnership, limited liability company (LLC), or corporation. The registration process may vary depending on the chosen structure.

3. Register your business entity: Complete the necessary paperwork and submit the required documents to register your business with the appropriate government agency.

4. Obtain necessary permits and licences: Depending on the nature of your business and its location, you may need to acquire specific permits or licences to operate legally.

5. Comply with data protection regulations: If the NDPC’s mandate involves data protection, ensure that your business complies with all relevant data protection laws and regulations.
